Formed in 1992, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE’s) is the world’s largest community of entrepreneurs & startups. Its mission is to foster and advance entrepreneurship across the globe and especially in our region. Its principle objective is to provide a platform on which people with entrepreneurial spirit and those interested in economic value creation can come together to share ideas. TiE endeavors to cultivate and nurture the ecosystems of entrepreneurship and free-market economics. Over the period, TiE has come to represent “Talent, ideas and Enterprise” or ‘The Innovative Ecosystems’ through its activities and influences. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs. TiE believes that students are an integral part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, for they are the entrepreneurs of the future. For this, TiE supports various universities/institutions in the region both in terms of guidance & mentoring as well as providing speakers (entrepreneurs) for events.

A joint initiative of TiE Chandigarh & IKG-PTU, TAP Business Plan Competition provides an opportunity to the students of all the affiliated colleges of IKGPTU to present their business idea & plan in front of a panel of entrepreneurs from TiE and academicians from PTU. TAP will provide an opportunity to the shortlisted teams to get mentoring & support from successful entrepreneurs of the region for a month. On the final presentation day, TiE will give away cash prizes worth more than Rs 1,00,000 to the top 8 teams.
